Complaint

Complaint : Non healing ulcer On right leg for 3 months
Symptoms : NA
Location : Right lower leg just above the ankle
Modality : Pain < pressure, starting to walk3+, touching3+
Concomitant : Slight watery discharge
Sensation : Severe pain on and off suddenly, pricking pain, sometimes itching
Observation :

The ulcer looks unhealthy dirty with rough margins and uneven base but  there is not much depth to the ulcer. Discharge is clear and not very profuse.

Slight bleeding during examination . Here patient told there is occasional bleeding if she tries to clean it



History of Presenting Complaint

Onset : Started after scooty accident on road

History :

During the accident she got multiple wounds and abrasion. All healed with meds and treatment mainly allopathinc but this one is not improving at all even though has been on meds continuously for almost 3 months now. The ulcer is still painful and very sensitive to touch she added.



Physical General
  • Thermals- Chilly 3+
  • Thirst- Normal
  • Desire - Sweets and outside food
  • Appetite- Disturbed since after accident. Diminished and feels bloated after eating
  • Stool- Constipated for 3 months. Unsatisfactory stools
  • Snoring- Sometimes disturbed by pain when the ulcer touches something during sleep. Tries to sleep on back so it does not touch anything




Case Analysis and Basis of Prescription

Repertorisation /Rubric Used :


Though the duration is 3 months but the case is handled as an acute case.

only single rubric was taken -

Justification of Medicine Selcted( Analysis and Observation) :


And considering the pain and sensitivity of the ulcer Hepar Sulph 200 was chosen from the rubric. Medicine was repeated every 4 hours for 5 days.


Follow up & Observation

The case started improving and next week SL was given and case cured within 2 weeks
